BEACH SAFETY

Living in our beautiful state, a day at the beach sounds like just the ticket for a fun day! Sun, sand and a picnic are the perfect ingredients to make for a great day outdoors. Pack up your suit, sunscreen (always) flip flops and a good book for a trip to your favorites seaside spot.

You do, however, need to be on guard before you get your feet wet. Stick to the lifeguard protected beaches and obey all warning signs, informing you of rip tides, high surf, jellyfish, etc. Make sure your young kids wear appropriate gear. Never dive headfirst into an area where you can’t see. Pay especially close attention to young children and the elderly. Even in very shallow water, people can lose their footing and get into trouble.

Enjoy the beach but be cautious, and enjoy the beautiful and soothing ocean waves.
