Delray Beach Voted One Of Florida’s “Unsung Beach Towns” By Southern Living Magazine

Along the waterway in downtown Delray Beach, Florida

Delray Beach was recently featured as one of “Florida’s Unsung Beach Towns” in Southern Living Magazine’s Summer 2017 Edition. Along with famed New Smyrna Beach, Delray was named one of the two best coastal communities you probably never heard of. A pathway to paradise, as this celebrated southern magazine put it, Delray Beach really is Miami’s baby cousin. You’ll find a level of sophistication to the colorful boutiques, dining, and nightlife here. This coastal town, with a population of over 60,000, is roughly 50 miles north of Miami Beach on A1A. Delray’s main strip, Atlantic Avenue, offers water views, fresh food, shopping, art, culture, gaming, and beachfront accommodations for out of towners. Downtown is also nationally known for the Garlic Fest, Delray Affair, On The Ave, and during the holiday season, the famous 100 foot Christmas Tree with animated displays. Luckily, the heart of palm-lined downtown Delray Beach is compact enough to be relatively walkable. Also noted in Southern Living were some beaches to the north of Delray, including Juno Beach Park and John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, both offering pristine sands and seashell collecting! Jupiter Hills History

The year was 1969. A world class private golf course community was born. The rolling scrubland was unique to the southeast coast of Florida. The land was nestled between the Intracoastal Waterway and Jonathan Dickinson Park, there were rolling hills which were emphasized by high elevations above sea level.  From the very beginning, the Hills Course exemplified natural beauty which set the stage for a golf club with wonderful atmosphere, open tee times, fast play and friendly tradition. Today, there are two George Fazio world-renowned golf courses. Designed by a master, mastered by a few! At this time, a residential community called Jupiter Hills Village was also conceived. The Village is a totally private community of luxury residences and wooded homesites within the 366-acre natural setting. In 1983, Thomas C. Matevia, purchased Fazio’s real estate interest at Jupiter Hills. Frank Todd joined their team in 1991 and with his experience, knowledge and integrity he purchased Jupiter Hills Village Realty, Inc. in 1997. Presently, Frank continues the tradition as Owner/Broker along with Julie Herman who is a long time member of the Jupiter Hills Golf Club and resident of Jupiter Hills Village. With over 24 years of experience at Jupiter Hills Village, his team continues to offer superb service in this low density residential golfing community with understated elegance. Our history is not just a testament of how far we have come, but also acts as a platform for continued real estate excellence withing the Village.
