What’s Fun In Palm Beach County This Summer

It’s the dog days of Summer. What do you do to keep the kids from getting bored? (And driving you crazy!) Palm Beach County has so many activities that you’ll have trouble making up your mind on how you want to spend your day. Here’s just a sampling.

If you are trying to stay cool and don’t want to broil at the beach, The Rapids Waterpark in Riviera Beach is the place to go. The Rapids is the largest waterpark in South Florida, sitting on over 30 acres. It boasts over 40 thrilling water slides for patrons of all ages. If relaxing is more your thing, you can rent a poolside cabana or float down the lazy river for hours. Food and beverage choices are plentiful, so come and make a day of it and bring the family.

If you are more the outdoorsy type, Okeeheelee Park, located in West Palm Beach lacks nothing. Landlubbers will enjoy athletic fields, tennis courts, bicycle and walking paths, plenty of picnic areas and a playground for the kids. For water bugs, there are boat launching facilities, a fishing pier, canoe, kayak and paddleboats, and even waterskiing. Oh, and don’t forget to bring your dog, Pooch Pines welcomes Fido!

If you truly want to beat the heat and escape indoors for a bit, you can visit Boomer’s in Boca Raton. Boomer’s features a huge state of the art gaming room with video games, air hockey, laser tag, rock climbing, just to mention a few. Outdoors features go karts, 2 mini golf courses, bumper cars and boats and batting cages. Food is available, and Boomer’s allows you to bring your own snacks and drinks.
