First Major Commercial Project In 20 Years Brings New Retail And Restaurants To Hobe Sound

Reported by the TCPalm, quiet Hobe Sound can expect to see new retail space as construction is underway on the major project on U.S. 1 near Pettway Street (photo rendering of Hobe Sound Station contributed from local developer John Doyle shown above.) The 15,000 square foot commercial building, named “Hobe Sound Station,” will include a RaceTrac gas station, a convenience store, new restaurants, and possibly an Aldi grocery store. Local developer John Doyle, a resident of the Medalist Golf Club, is also looking to build 46 apartments nearby at a project called “The Preserve at Hobe Sound Station.” In addition to other new tenants, possible restaurants for the new Station may include Jensen Beach restaurant Crawdaddy’s N’awlins Grill & Raw Bar and Palm Beach County’s Lynora’s Italian restaurant. Along with their other three locations in Palm Beach County, Lynora’s hopes to bring a market, deli and pizza place to southern Martin County. Hobe Sound Beverage will also be moving to this new location. Construction should be complete by early next year. With this expansion, Hobe Sound residents will no longer have to go North to Stuart or South to Jupiter for dining options!
